Friendly village atmosphere offering great schools, community activities and shopping.

Surrounded by National and Marine Parks makes Yamba a watersports and nature lover’s paradise.

We enjoy enticing weather year-round – mild winters and glorious summer sun.

Great restaurants, cafes & bars, thriving food scene & calendar full of events & festivals.

Everything you need, close by

The largest of the coastal towns in the Clarence Valley, Yamba is the town that turns family holidays into a lifestyle choice. People often say they would spend family holidays here as kids and now they choose to bring their own children up here (it’s a hard place to forget that’s for sure)…

With day care options, primary schools, heaps of sporting clubs around town combined with the big open spaces (our natural playground) the kids thrive, good job Mum and Dad!

You’ll find all the local amenities and services you need from your family doctor, dentist and car mechanic to supermarkets, clubs, hotels, a popular marina and an array of cuisines in many cafes and restaurants, all dotted around town.

Watersports and Nature lover’s paradise

Yamba boasts access to some of the most beautiful waterways in Australia.

The Clarence River meets the sea here and so if you love fishing, sailing. swimming, rowing, kayaking, canoeing, sailing, windsurfing, or boating, your favourite spot will be only minutes away from home.

And for surfers, we are minutes away from two of the world’s finest breaks at Angourie and Brooms Head.

Whale-watching is another annual treat. Just offshore, the Solitary Islands Marine Park covers 71,000 hectares, the protected reserve a haven for coral, fish, dolphins, grey nurse sharks and whales during migration. Snorkel or dive or just find a great spot to watch the whales.

While Yamba is known for its epic beaches and waves, the surrounding countryside is just as alluring for its swathes of native forest – and all the outdoor adventures that ensue. Clamber to the Yamba Lighthouse, and then continue south on the 65km Yuraygir coastal walk all the way to Red Rock, following ancient emu trails in the Yuraygir National Park.

A thriving town

Eat, drink and be merry year-round. If you can drag yourself away from the beach, Yamba delivers a thriving food scene and an events calendar filled with festivals, markets and sports. Sample all the best locally caught seafood – including famous Yamba prawns – at fish shops and restaurants around town. Don’t miss a meal at the 1934-built Pacific Hotel, where your ocean views are matched with a menu that pays homage to the region’s produce.
